South Korea's state-run nuclear and hydroelectric power company has clinched a 530 million US dollar order to build and run a 350-megawatt hydropower plant in Pakistan.

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) said the plant would be built some 210 kilometers (130 miles) northeast of Islamabad under a deal awarded by Pakistan's state-run Private Power and Infrastructure Board.

KHNP has formed a consortium with Daelim Industrial and Lotte Engineering and Construction to operate the plant for 30 years.
