Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction said Friday it has formed a consortium with French electric utility company Engie to win an order worth 896 million US dollars for the construction of a thermal power plant in Saudi Arabia.
Doosan Heavy, a construction arm of South Korea's Doosan Group, said the plant capable of producing 1,519 megawatts of electricity would be built in a gas complex 85 kilometers (53 miles) northwest of Jubail by November 2019.
In April last year, Doosan completed the construction of a 2,800-megawatt plant in Saudi Arabia.
