Samsung unveiled its new desktop "ArtPC Pulse" fitted with top-performance parts but due to its cylindrical full metal body, it's being called a "trash can" by critics and consumers.
The ArtPC Pulse features an Intel i7 3.4GHz processor, 16GB of RAM, a Radeon RX 460 graphic card, a Harmon Kardon 360° Omni-directional speaker unit and a full metal body casing with ambient lighting.

Despite its high-performance and sleek design, consumers have already made up a humiliating nickname such as a trash can or a standing ashtray.

"The design of the PC is unique and looks quite fancy but I can't help imagining it as a well-designed trash can or an ashtray," said a tech community user named "Keung Keung". Another user "Heeut" pointed out: "The design of Samsung's new PC is very similar to Apple's Mac Pro. It would have been better if the ArtPC Pulse was designed in a square bar type."
The South Korean tech giant started receiving pre-orders Tuesday on US e-commerce giant Amazon. The new PC was priced at 1,599.99 US dollars and will be officially released on October 28, 2016, Amazon said.
