Samsung's next-in-line flagship smartphone "Galaxy S8" will be released in two sizes, according to recent rumors cited by South Korean online IT community Clien.

The tech giant has been cautious about its next flagship following a global recall of its combustible Galaxy Note 7 that tarnished its reputation as the world's largest smartphone maker .

Client users are locked in fierce debate after one nicknamed "It can be so" uploaded a post, saying the new S8 would come in two sizes -- 5.5 inches and 6.2 inches -- featuring 64 gigabytes of storage. The user also mentioned the possible release of an additional 256-gigabyte model.

The user claimed that unlike the flagships of other makers, the larger sized S8 would not feature dual cameras since Samsung dropped them  in an effort to lower its cost. S8's design would look similar to its predecessors Galaxy S7 and S6, keeping the family look.

According to the post, Samsung's artificial intelligence (AI) assistant VIV will be added to the S8, and it will be open-sourced for corporates and developers to create apps and services using AI.

Although the source of information was not disclosed, many users think the new post is plausible as some previous community rumors were found to be right about the past flagships from Samsung and LG.
