Three years ago, everyone thought Amazon’s head Jeff Bezos went out of his mind when he said he wanted to have drones to deliver packages directly to Amazon’s customers. He is now among the frontiers of drone delivery.

According to Bezos' tweet Wednesday, the E-commerce giant had succeeded in its first commercial drone delivery to an Amazon customer in Cambridgeshire, England on December 7. The unmanned drone flight took 13 minutes to deliver an Amazon-made video streaming device and popcorn from a nearby Amazon warehouse to a shopper identified as Richard B.

Amazon said that the company would also try two more deliveries using its drones in England. The commerce giant has a large drone testing complex in the country. The drone delivery service, “Amazon Prime Air” would be fully automated in its delivery processes.
