Actress Kim Yoo-jung, a rising K-pop star for her leading role in South Korea's hit drama "Love in the Moonlight", has received a popularity award at the Yahoo Asia BUZZ Awards 2016 in Hong Kong.
The 17-yeart-old was crowned the most-searched rising actress Tuesday in the annual event to select and honor the most influential stars of various segments based on Yahoo search statistics.
After her acting debut in 2003 at the age of five, she became one of the best-known child actresses and transitioned into teen roles by starring in television series "Moon Embracing the Sun (2012)" and "Angry Mom (2015)".
This year, she took on her first adult leading role in "Love in the Moonlight". Her latest movie "Because I Love You" will be screened in January. She will hold a fan meeting in Taiwan on February 4.
