"EXO power" is not strong as what it used to be. The boy group's new track, released earlier this week, failed to enter the top ten in real-time charts of South Korea's major music services.

The boys have enjoyed strong fan support since their debut in 2012. Almost every song has been successful at home and abroad, topping real-time and album charts but not this time. EXO's new track "For Life" was not seen anywhere in the top ten of real-time charts.

Maybe the timing of the new album's release was not right. It's only been a week since South Korea's iconic group BIGBANG released the first full album in eight years. This week, three OSTs from the new hit drama "Goblin" gained popularity and the rookie female acoustic duo, "Bolbbalgan4", topped music charts with its new track "Tell Me You Like It".

EXO is not doing well abroad either. Previously, it's been a routine for the boys to be ranked in the top as soon as they released an album. But BIGBANG took the throne in the Billboard's World Album Charts. EXO's world album sales will actually be reflected on next week's chart, but critics predict BIGBANG's may remain strong.
