Early morning fog mutes the color of cherry blossoms on Washington's famous cherry trees surrounding the Tidal Basin near the Jefferson Memorial, Monday, March 27, 2017. This year's bloom was different from in the past because cold weather killed half of the blossoms on the Yoshino cherry trees just as they were reaching their peak. The National Park Service says on its website that peak bloom was reached Saturday, March 25, 2017.
