Last week, Ivanka Trump had announced that she will work as an informal advisor to her father in West Wing of White House. This news raised concerns and caused complaints from White House staffs, lawmakers, and politic watchdogs. White House ethics lawyers Norman L. Eisen and Richard W. Painter also addressed this move was to "allow Ms. Trump to avoid the ethics, conflicts-of-interest and other rules that apply to White House employees" in a letter to the White House counsel, Donald F. McGahn II.

Ivanka said in her statement Wednesday, "I have heard the concerns some have with my advising the President in my personal capacity while voluntarily complying with all ethics rules and I will instead serve as an unpaid employee in the White House Office, subject to all of the same rules as other federal employees."

White House followed in a statement, "We are pleased that Ivanka Trump has chosen to take this step in her unprecedented role as first daughter and in support of the president", and added, "Ivanka's service as an unpaid employee furthers our commitment to ethics, transparency, and compliance and affords her increased opportunities to lead initiatives driving real policy benefits for the American public that would not have been available for her previously."

Ivanka will work as an assistant to the president and will join her husband, Josh Kushner, who is a senior advisor of Trump administration at work every day in the West Wing. Ms. Trump has been making appearances in public for goodwill since her father's election race so this new transition is expected to be a smooth one.

She is currently residing in the White House with her husband and their three children.
