South Korean idol group BTS has put its name on the list of nominees for the 2017 Billboard Music Awards that will be held in Las Vegas on May 21.
The category of Top Social Artist, released by Billboard on its homepage, included Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, and BTS, also known as the Bangtan Boys in South Korea.
BTS has conquered new territory on multiple Billboard charts with the group's new album "You Never Walk Alone", the sequel to the previous hit album "WINGS" that rose to No. 26 on the Billboard 200 chart for the second week of October last year, the highest ever set by a South Korean artist or a group.
The group has been riding a huge wave of popularity, being recognized as one of top K-pop leaders.
