An image of purported iPhone 8's schematics was uploaded online. An anonymous leaker claimed the image was leaked from Foxconn, the world's largest contract electronics manufacturer well-known for its Apple iPhone factory in China.

The image was quickly shared via online communities, stirring up debates among tech fans. The schematics showed an iPhone in a similar shape of LG's G6, with dual cameras and a bezel-less screen, meaning the phone's display is maximized to fit into the front side of the phone.

Another notable point is the smartphone's fingerprint scanner. iPhones traditionally had a home button which also works as a fingerprint scanner in the bottom part of the front side, but the purported image shows the fingerprint scanner placed on its back.

Experts speculate the new iPhone to be released in the latter half of the year, most likely to be in September or October.
