A Thai man, Wuttisan Wongtalay, live-streamed himself on Facebook murdering his daughter who was only 11-month-old on Monday. The original video showed the 20-year-old man hanging his daughter and then himself after an argument with his wife.

The man's relatives immediately alerted the local authority when one of Wongtalay's cousins came across the live video on Facebook, but by the time officers located the man and his daughter, it was too late.

According to the police report, Wongtalay had a history of abuses toward his wife, and before the incident, his wife left the family home briefly after an argument feeling threatened by him.

The Facebook spokeswoman said in a statement, "This is an appalling incident and our hearts go out to the family of the victim. There is absolutely no place for content of this kind on Facebook and it has now been removed."

The footage was removed from Facebook 24 hours after the incident on Tuesday, and the leaked videos posted on YouTube were removed soon after.

The baby's funeral was attended by her mom, relatives, and many locals on Tuesday.

This incident is catching international attention as it has only been a week since an Ohio man live-streamed murdering an innocent 74-year-old man walking down the street in Cleveland. He later killed himself in Pennsylvania after a national hunt for him was announced.

The abused live video usage has been causing many angry and concerned reactions from social media users because the live-streaming crimes are increasing.

In January this year, two incidents ignited the international social media movement to request for a new law restricting abused live video usage. The first incident was that four people live-streamed a video on Facebook physically torturing a mentally disabled man in Chicago. Another incident happened in Sweden when three men live-streamed a video of gang-raping a woman.
