Thai resident and his dog wade through a flooded road the morning after heavy rain in Bangkok, Thailand, 25 May 2017. Many roads throughout Bangkok were flooded following heavy rains. Commuters faced difficulties getting to their destinations due to long traffic jams caused by flooded roads. Thailand's Meteorological Department warned that more heavy to very heavy rain is forecast for parts of the North and the central regions of the country and rains is forecast for about a 70 percent in the Bangkok area. The stronger southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea and Thailand while a low-pressure cell covers the South China Sea from 25 to 31 May 2017.
