BIGBANG member G-DRAGON will return to the music scene as a solo artist next week, the singer's agency YG Entertainment announced via its official blog on Wednesday.
"G-DRAGON, an artist who presented fans with extraordinary moves since BIGBANG's debut in 2006, will make another unprecedented comeback soon," YG said, adding G-DRAGON would unveil his new album on June 8.
The 28-year-old released a teaser poster for his album. On the poster, handwritten letters read "Kwon Ji Yong", G-DRAGON's real name. It also shows his tattoo-clad upper body. G-DRAGON had previously alerted fans of his comeback through a series of Instagram posts.
That will be the singer's fourth solo album. G-DRAGON successfully released "Heartbreaker" (2009), "One of a Kind" (2012) and "COUP D'ETAT" (2013). He has won awards such as Mnet Asian Music Awards. After his solo comeback, G-DRAGON will embark on his world tour starting with a concert in Seoul on June 10. The tour covers 18 other cities including Bangkok, New York and Tokyo.
