Bill Connor received the heartbreaking yet best Father's Day gift he could ever ask for. He got to hear his late daughter's heart beat one last time.

Connor lost his daughter Abigail in a freak accident that happened during a winter break vacation in Cancun, Mexico. Abigail and her brother "were found unconscious, face down" in the resort's pool. Unfortunately, she didn't pull through. Abigail was only 20 years old.

Connor described his late daughter as a "Beautiful girl. Fun. Funny." She was in her junior year at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater majoring in Public Relations.

Abigail was an organ donor and four of her organs saved four lives including Loumonth Jack Jr. of Ventress, Louisiana who had a heart failure due to viral infection. He received her heart the day after she passed away.

Bill Connor had peace of mind knowing that his daughter's death wasn't in vain, but "helping someone in need."

The grieving father started his biking journey from Madison, Wisconsin and biked 1,400 miles (2,253 km) to Ventress, Louisiana to listen to Abigail's heart beating in the heart recipient one last time on Father's Day.

The heartfelt moment can be seen below.

Connor's journey is not over yet. He will continue his journey until he reaches his final destination at Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, where the Broward Medical Center is located. Abigail's body was prepared in the hospital. He will be biking 2,600 miles (4,184 km) total and is expected to reach the destination on July 10.

Connor also set up a GoFundMe page to help Donate Life America, a nonprofit organization with a mission to help save lives.

As of June 25, 2017, $18,535 was raised of $30,000 goal.
