Popular girl group TWICE is continuing a streak of successful album promotions in Japan. After making its debut in Japan last week, the girls sold over 21,000 copies of its album "#TWICE".

The nine-member group shone brightly with its presence in the competitive Japanese music industry, once again after having its name on the top of Japan's prestigious Oricon's Daily Album Chart on Sunday.

The girls sold 21,000 album copies in the first week of their debut, after selling 115,000 copies during the first three days, according to the group's  agency JYP Entertainment. TWICE also recorded the highest number of album copies sold by a K-pop artist or group in the first week of album release. "#TWICE" includes ten Korean and Japanese versions of the group's hit songs such as "CHEER UP" and "TT".
