Raina, the lead vocal of girl group Afterschool, announced her solo comeback on July 31 through her Instagram. In her teaser post, the 28-year-old wrote "RAINA 1ST SINGLE ALBUM COMEBACK PHOTO 2017.07.31 6PM RELEASE."
The post garnered more than 7,400 likes and thousands of fans issued positive comments in less than 12 hours of its upload. Raina debuted in 2009 as an Afterschool member and gained popularity as a member of Orange Caramel, a three-member unit group. It will be Raina's first solo activity since the release of her last single in 2014.
