A21 is a non-governmental organization that has long been fighting to rescue human trafficking victims. It recently released a video of how easily young girls and their families fall victim of human trafficking gangs. This video was created in a partnership with the Royal Thai Government's Prime Minister's Office.

The video begins with a teenage girl in the grip of a madam getting sold for the sex trade in Thailand. She clearly shows the sign of sadness, anxiety, and distress. The scene switches to the madam counting money and handing some of the portions to the brothel guard, who keeps the girls on their toes and guard them from running away.

The scene changes and shows two teenage sisters in school uniforms. Innocent and vulnerable, the girls are walking on a serene road holding hands. Soon they are approached by a woman who shows them a photo of a building, promising them a better future and a stable work. The girls bring the woman to meet their parents. The parents send the girls off with their blessings and they hop on a vehicle with their hearts filled with excitement and hope.

When the vehicle stopped in front of a brothel, the girls are shocked to see they are at a different place from the picture the woman showed. The woman turned out to be a professional "recruiter", a kidnapper, for sex slaves. She sells one of the sisters to a brothel, separating the crying sisters.

Then the scene changes back to the girl from the beginning scene, who turned out to be one of the sisters kidnapped from a rural part of Thailand.

People on the street dining at a nearby restaurant look at the girl with judging eyes as she is being sold to the brothel customers. No one steps in to help her.

The girl looks at the camera as she gets dragged away by the madam of the brothel with teary eyes and caption overlay the screen: "Can you see me?"

This powerful video that shows how easily girls and their families get trapped into the hands of human trafficking gangs and falls into sex slavery.

A21 began the campaign #CanYouSeeMe with Royal Thai Government to bring more awareness to what really is going on in Thailand. The Thai Ministry of Social Development and Human Security created a hotline number 1300 for people to report if they suspect a sign of human trafficking.

A21 warns that anyone can be a victim. The only way to fight this crime is when people work together and become for more vigilant to their surroundings.

The video garnered over 255,000 views and over 2200 reactions since it was released on Sunday. Many viewers expressed their shock and willingness to take a step to help or support the organization.

The organization was founded by Christine Cane, an internationally renowned motivational speaker, in 2008. A21 also trains the teams of people in different countries to rescue the human trafficking victims and rehabilitate the rescued victims to help them get reintegrated back into the society.

Human trafficking category is not just limited to sexual exploitation and trade, but also includes forced labor, bonded labor, involuntary domestic servitude, and child soldiery.
