Many people meet and date through Tinder quickly. A story of two seniors, Michelle Arendas and Josh Avsec, from Ohio Kent University went viral because these two strangers never met even though they kept the conversation going for three years on Tinder.

Arendas, 21, and Avsec, 22, began talking to each other in 2014 after getting matched. The conversation between them was different from the stereotypical Tinder messages because it took them months to respond to each other.

Josh Avsec decided to capture their conversation and post on his Twitter in early July. With the photos, he captioned, "Hahahaha one day I'm going to meet this girl and it's going to be epic. Look at the dates of our tinder texts." The post went viral instantly. After Mirror reported the story, the account of the couple started spreading like a wild fire.

A mutual friend who goes to the same school alerted Michelle Arendas of Avsec's tweet and she replied on Twitter, "sorry I'd reply but I need to give it a few months!"

Their story caught Tinder's attention. The company wrote on its official Twitter site to the couple, "It's time you got together IRL. You have 24 hrs to decide the city you want to have your first date in and we'll send you there!"

Avsec tweeted four hours later, "After a long debate over your unbelievably generous offer, our dream first-date would be in Hawaii. Meet you in Maui? @mch_md"

Tinder responded a little over two hours later and humorously tweeted, "Aloha! We're sending you to Maui but you can't take two years to pack your bags!"

Both expressed their gratitude on Twitter. Then Good Morning America, a popular America's top morning news show airing from a set in Time Square, New York, reached out to the couple so they can air the couple meeting each other for the very first time. The couple agreed to meet on TV before their trip together in August to Hawaii.

The first encounter was aired live on July 25. After seeing Michelle Arendas for the first time, Josh Avsec said on the show, "This is a dream come true. I can't believe I'm seeing her right now."

Avsec tweeted on July 2, Saturday, "I'm overjoyed to announce that in just six short days, I will be on my dream vacation, spending time with some great company."

The couple flew on August 3 to reunite again in Maui, Hawaii as Tinder arranged to spend some quality time together. Many of the couple's Twitter followers already covered both of their Twitter pages asking how the first date in Hawaii went.
