The foreign ministers of South Korea, the United States and Japan held a trilateral meeting in Manila to coordinate measures to rein in North Korea's nuclear and missile threats.
South Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha met with U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono at a hotel on the sidelines of meetings hosted by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
The three-way luncheon came after the United Nations Security Council adopted a fresh sanctions resolution Saturday (local time) on North Korea for its claimed intercontinental ballistic missile tests last month.
