Jeremy Lindholm, a 41-year-old actor who appeared on the TV series "Twin Peaks", was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
Lindholm attacked his girlfriend of five years in Spokane, Washington on August 16. The couple fought earlier that day and she left their shared residence to get Kool-Aid for him. He became angry when she didn't come back with the drinks. The girlfriend, later identified as Kaylee Abbott, left for her work but already enraged Lindholm followed her later to the lingerie shop where she is employed at.
He threw Abbott to the ground and attacked her with a baseball bat. The victim's co-worker Daniel Graves said, "The guy grabbed a baseball bat and basically started beating her up with it." Graves tried to calm Lindholm down, but it did not help the situation. Gaves called 911 and police officers responded to the scene immediately.
The actor tried to escape the arrest by fleeing out of the back door, but he was quickly apprehended by the officers.
The surveillance footage at the store and witness report made the investigators believe Lindholm intended to kill his girlfriend. Lindholm claimed he did not intend to hurt Abbott according to the court document.
The victim was transferred to a nearby hospital and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
When Lindholm appeared in court on Thursday, he showed no emotion through out the hearing. He is charged with one count of attempted second-degree murder and his bond was set at $100,000. The judge also ordered him not to contact Abbott.
