It seems like BTS, the most popular K-pop boy band, is very likely to have another successful season as pre-orders for the group's new album "LOVE YOURSELF Seung-Her", scheduled for release on September 18, exceeded one million copies.
The seven-member group's agency, Big Hit Entertainment, said in a Monday statement that more than 1,050,000 pre-orders were made from August 25 until August 31. The agency said the number stands for reservations made only by fans at home and if pre-orders from other countries are added, the total number will be much greater.
The number of pre-orders exceeds that of the group's most successful album ever, "YOU NEVER WALK ALONE", released in February this year, by 350,000 copies. After building up a strong international fandom with the album, BTS became the first South Korean artist group to be awarded Billboard's Top Social Artist award in May.
