Asia's first electronic dance music (EDM) event "World Club Dome" to be held this month in South Korea's eastern port city of Incheon is expected to attract some 150,000 people, including more than 10,000 foreign fans, according to organizers.

Th three-day event will be held at Incheon's Munhak Sports Complex from September 22. To boost ticket sales, South Korean organizers -- the state-run Korea Tourism Organization and MPC Partners -- are trying to invite South Korean celebrities.

"We have contacted South Korean singers and DJs and requested for their participation in the event but we are not sure whether they would participate as they have not given us any feedbacks," an MPC Partners official told Aju News.

So far, some 10,000 tickets have been sold abroad, and organizers expect more foreign fans to attend. The Incheon event is expected to attract about 150,000 fans.

The EDM event, "World Club Dome", organized by the German EDM radio station BigCityBeats, has been held in Frankfurt, Germany every year in June since 2013.

This will be the first time the event has been organized outside Germany. The lineup of DJs listed for the Incheon event includes Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike of Belgium.

The World Club Dome involves the transformation of a sports stadium into a giant nightclub and a number of micro-stages are set up across the stadium, offering a variety of different electronic genres.
