As a K-pop band, BTS has set a new record in South Korea's album sales with more than 1.2 million copies of "Love Yourself: Her".
According to Gaon Chart, South Korea's state-run music ranking service, the seven-member group sold 1,203,533 copies of its new album. It marked a new record in 16 years. In 2001, G.O.D sold 1,441,209 copies of its fourth album in 2001.
The popularity of BTS' new album is explosive in online video platforms. The music video for "DNA", the title song, has scored more than 108 million views on YouTube in less than a month of its release.
