Arrest warrant issued against former Dongbu head on sexual harassment

Police obtained a court-issued warrant to arrest Kim Jun-ki who is staying abroad after he stepped down as chairman of South Korean conglomerate DB Group over allegations that he had sexually harassed his female secretary.

Kim, 73, resigned in September when he was accused of molesting his secretary sexually on a regular basis between February and July this year. The group insisted physical contact was made on mutual consent.

He has been staying in the United States for medical treatment, ignoring a series of summons by police. citing illness. It is not known what kind of ailment Kim is suffering from.

DB, formerly known as Dongbu Group with his business scope covering steel manufacturing to finance, expressed regret, saying Kim would return home to cooperate with a police investigation if he gets the green light from doctors.
