South Korean President Moon Jae-in ventured out to have a traditional Chinese breakfast in a modest restaurant near the state guest house Thursday on the second day of his four-day-trip trip to China.
Accompanied by South Korea's ambassador to China Noh Young-min and his wife, Moon and First Lady Kim Jung-sook had traditional morning meals that included xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), soy milk soup and youtiao, the president's office said.
The Chinese normally eat youtiao (deep-fried dough sticks), also known as Chinese fried churros, at breakfast as an accompaniment for rice congee, soy milk or regular milk blended with sugar.
