"Your Name", a Japanese romance fantasy drama animation, was ranked as South Korea's most searched keyword on Google this year, beating other domestic contents.

According to Google Korea's data released on Thursday, "Your Name" was ranked No. 1 on the list of this year's popular keywords. The search result is something to pay attention in a country where animation is considered the counterword of children.

South Korea, home to popular kid-friendly animations such as "Pororo", has been the cemetery of many global animation works. Even some Disney films have failed to make outstanding achievements in South Korea's box office, but "Your Name" made a big hit with 3.65 million visitors when it was screened in July.

"Goblin", a cable TV fantasy drama, was second, followed by Sulli, a former f(x) member who has been one of the most controversial figures in the country's entertainment scene for her battle against cyber bullies through her social media with provocative images and comments.

Goblin starring Gong-yu and Kim Go-eun led a fever across Asia earlier this year, fascinating fans with beautiful images and original soundtracks.
