SEOUL, Jan. 12 (Aju News) -- A 30-year-old copycat killer, inspired by a crime movie, was sentenced to 18 years in prison for murdering his former boss with a knife and pouring starch and brown sugar over his body to cover up the brutal crime.

A Seoul court said Friday that the man, identified by his surname Lee, was found guilty of murder and robbery. He was caught on the run after he murdered the CEO of his former workplace and stole about 64 million won (60,070 US dollars) kept in a personal vault.

Lee was accused of stabbing the CEO with his weapon 47 times at his house in June last year. The case shook the South Korean society as it resembled a famous scene from a 2002 movie "Public Enemy" in which a psychopath businessman pours flour over the bodies of his murdered parents.
