SEOUL, Jan. 17 (Aju News) -- With less than a month left until the Winter Olympics in South Korea's eastern ski resort of Pyeongchang, Samsung unveiled a plan to deliver the limited edition of its latest smartphone Galaxy Note 8 to athletes free of charge.
In a statement uploaded to its news blog on Wednesday, Samsung said that 4,000 athletes and others will receive its "Pyeongchang 2018 Olympic Games Limited Edition" featuring Pyeongchang-themed wallpapers and related apps.
Samsung said each Paralympic athlete would be given the Note 8 smartphone with its case featuring the Paralympic Games logo. In 2016, the company delivered some 12,500 models of Galaxy S7 edge's limited version to athletes competing in Rio.
