SEOUL, Jan. 25 (Aju News) -- Samsung Electronics showed its confidence in the camera features of Galaxy S9, the latest smartphone in an invitation to a media event at this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month.

"IF A PICTURE IS WORTH a thousand words, the latest member of the Galaxy family has a lot to say," Samsung said in a post uploaded onto its news blog. The post included an image of the invitation sent to media partners. The event will be held on February 25.

In the post, Samsung emphasized the greatness of S9's camera and said it would l reimagine the camera and refine how users share their thoughts.

Although the tech giant has been tight-lipped, ETnews, a South Korean IT specialist media, reported last week that the new flagship is likely to have the most powerful slow-motion filming feature capable of shooting 1,000 frames per second.

Phonearena, another specialist media outlet, uploaded the leaked image of an alleged Galaxy S9 retail box earlier this month. The specification sheet on the back of the box showed the camera with a 12-megapixel resolution and a variable aperture which provides brighter and sharper images than other camera lenses with fixed apertures.
