SEOUL -- Hyundai Motor will start receiving preorders next week for its new hydrogen-fueled electric sport utility vehicle "NEXO" that can travel up to 600 kilometers (372 miles) when fully charged.
Hyundai said in a statement Friday that it would receive preorders on Monday from consumers living in Seoul and three other cities. People who buy clean energy vehicles in selected cities can receive a sizable amount of government subsidies.
The company offers two trims of NEXO. The cheaper one costs some 68.9 million won (64,766 US dollars) while the higher trip comes with a price tag of 72.2 million won. With a subsidy of about 35 million won, the actual price is about 37 million won.
