SINGAPORE -- As he signed an agreement with U.S. President Donald Trump, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's face could be seen altering between emotions of anxiousness and contentedness while Trump made a stern and serious face.

Prior to the ceremony, the two leaders exited the Capella hotel, the venue for their talks, in Singapore, after a hearty meal that included local delicacies from the West and Korea.

There were unconfirmed news reports that the two leaders showed their cars to each other before leaving for the garden in a sign of getting comfortable with each other. During a stroll in the garden, they were engaged in a conversation, carrying a relaxed posture. The press was waiting at the end of the garden and questioned Trump for any updates with their discussion.

Trump said that talks were "better than anybody could imagine," delivering a shocking news that the two leaders were on their way to "signing".

This marked a significant milestone in the history of the United States and North Korea because there had been no summit between the two countries since American troops fought alongside South Korea to repel North Korea's invasion during the 1950-53 Korean conflict.

Such an amicable scene created by Trump and Kim had been unthinkable until Kim launched a flurry of diplomacy by sending athletes and other delegations to this year's Winter Olympics in South Korea.

Live footages captured the two leaders entering another floor of the hotel to sign a joint statement that contained commitments to U.S. security guarantees in return for North Korea's complete denuclearization.

A long rectangular table can be seen in the center of the room decorated with American and North Korean flags that meant as the enemies of the Cold War have finally been able to come to an understanding. It can be depicted as a proud moment for both Americans and Koreans as the flags stand next to each other in exact precision.

A brown board was placed on the table, just in front of two chairs and a black pen was placed precisely in the middle at the top of the board while a blue and dark red binder was placed separately on each board. As Trump and Kim made their grand entrance into the room and reached their seat, Trump gestured to Kim's seat politely before taking his own seat.

"We are signing a very important document, pretty comprehensive document and we have had a really great term together," the American leader said.

After the document was signed, Trump told Kim, "Thank you very much. It is fantastic." He then made a final comment saying people are going to be very impressed and happy as the two leaders took care of a “very dangerous problem" for the world.

As they shook hands, Trump's trademark arm-tugging handshake was shown, but he quickly stopped his domineering action, probably in remembrance of the current and tender situation that both leaders were in.

Kim can be seen holding onto the handshake tightly despite the tug, a strong demonstration of the firm effort that the leader was taking on with the truce talks.
