SEOUL -- Samsung Electronics will start receiving pre-orders for its new phablet, Galaxy Note 9, at home next week after it was showcased this week in the United States.
Telecom industry officials said Thursday that South Korean mobile carriers would receive preorders from Monday, although Samsung is to release Note 9 officially on August 24. Samsung's teaser videos disclosed last week hinted at Note 9's improved battery, storage capacity and processing speed.
According to telecom industry officials, Note 9 features a large-size 4,000mAh battery, a maximum data storage of 512GB, a 6.4-inch screen and Samsung's Bixby 2.0 voice recognition system.
