SEOUL -- Samsung Electronics collaborated with American premium audio device maker Harman Kardon to release a soundbar. This is the first time for the two companies to collaborate after Samsung acquired Harman International Industries, the parent company of the audio device maker, in November 2017.

Samsung said in a statement on Wednesday that "HW-N950" and "HW-N850", the company's flagship soundbars, featuring Dolby Atmos technology, which can simulate 7.1.4 channel sounds with only four speakers. The soundbars can generate realistic 3D sounds, making audience to feel as if they are sitting in the middle of a movie scene.

"Samsung’s market-leading display technology and design paired with premium sound quality of Harman Kardon products is a winning combination for consumers," Chu Jong-suk, Senior Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, was quoted as saying.

HW-N950 will be released in South Korea and the United States at the end of this month and will be released in 30 countries including Australia, Europe and Southeast Asia later this year.
