SEOUL -- Chung Yong-jin, the de facto head of South Korea's retail conglomerate Shinsegae, who is known for creative ideas, launched a lifestyle editorial shop complete with foreign and domestic fashion and grooming items for men who are looking for their own style.

"Show&Tell" opened on August 31 each at Shinsegae's luxury shopping complex Starfield in Hanam, the southern satellite city of Seoul, and a premium outlet in the southeastern city of Yeoju, at the initiative of Chung, who has promoted a concept of shopping combined with entertainment and leisure.

The new shop was named after Show and Tell, the practice of showing something to an audience and telling them about it. It is a men's lifestyle editorial shop to provide a new playground for men.

Show&Tell displayed more than 50 foreign and domestic brands as well as its own brands. Clothes, shoes, shirts, premium socks and other items for men are available at reasonable prices to satisfy a variety of tastes, underlining Chung's strategy to lure consumers out to offline malls.

Along with the establishment of giant luxury and leisure shopping malls, Shinsegae opened a new brand in June by benchmarking Don Quijote, the biggest discount chain store in Japan, which packs a wide range of products from ceiling to floor in a distinct merchandising strategy.

The first Pierrot Shopping outlet commenced its business in southern Seoul and Shinsegae plans to open two more Pierrot Shopping outlets targeting young people with relatively low income in Seoul this year.
