SEOUL -- Black Eyed Peas, a popular American hip-hop trio, will collaborate with CL, a former 2NE1 member, in a new album to be released on October 12,

Taboo said in an Instagram post that the 27-year-old South Korean singer participated in "Masters of the Sun" as a featuring artist. Black Eyed Peas has released global hit songs such as "Boom Boom Pow", "Imma Be" and "Pump It".

CL was previously invited by the hip-hop trio to perform together at the Summer Sonic music festival in 2017 when Fergie, the female member of the group, left.  After 2NE1 disbanded in 2016, CL debuted as a solo artist, released three singles and acted in "Mile 22", a 2018 Hollywood film starring Mark Wahlberg.
