SEOUL -- The first Airbus A330 aerial refueling tanker aircraft arrived in a military air base in the southern port city of Gimhae to increase the operational radius of South Korean fighters. It would be deployed next month after a test flight.

South Korea has ordered four A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) planes with a maximum fuel capacity of 111,000 kg (245,000 lb). The A330 MRTT has been ordered by Australia, Britain, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Singapore.
