SEOUL -- South Korea's Hyundai auto group released a concept video showing an autonomous smart electric sedan that finds an empty charging space and charges it wirelessly when its driver gets off. When charging is completed, the car moves to a parking lot by itself.

The 3D graphics image came as Hyundai is striving to release a complete self-driving vehicle with an autonomous parking function by 2025.

The video showed the concept car moving to a designated place on the driver's call. It is based on self-driving technology to enhance the convenience of using a parking lot with continuous connectivity between the vehicle, parking facilities, charging facilities and the driver.

The parking facility transmits location information related to parking and charging, and the wireless charger communicates with the driver in real time.

For its new models, Hyundai has used a level 3 self-driving system which provides self-driving features such as lane keeping assistant and highway driving assistant. Level 4 and 5 require intervention by a driver just in case of an emergent situation.

At a motor show in Geneva in March, Hyundai presented its latest concept design "Le Fil Rouge" that will be applied to future vehicles. The carmaker said its future cars will feature a seamless frame which generates a dynamic look.
