SEOUL -- Police summoned Roy Kim, a 25-year-old singer who is studying in the United States, for questioning on charges of uploading explicit photographs on a social media group chat.

Police said that Kim is suspected of uploading explicit photographs on a social media messenger group chat and sharing them with other people including Jung Joon-young, a 30-year-old singer jailed for playing a key role in a sex video scandal.

Kim debuted when he became the final winner at the fourth season of "Superstar K", a popular cable TV music audition show, in 2009. He released three official albums, a mini-album and three singles. Jung was accused of distributing illegally filmed sex video files and sharing them with other K-pop stars including CNBLUE's Lee Jong-hyun, FT ISLAND's Choi Jong-hoon and Seungri who was expelled from BIGBANG.
