​American singer Khalid hints at collaboration with K-pop band BTS

SEOUL -- Khalid, a 21-year-old American singer-songwriter, hinted at his collaboration with K-pop band BTS during a British breakfast TV program. He has said that he and BTS are fans of each other.

"There are definitely talks of working on a collaboration. I think it would be awesome. I just got to get to it," Kahlid said during an interview at "Good Morning Britain" on Thursday.

On May 9, BTS leader RM said during an American radio show that the collaboration between Khalid and BTS would come soon. "I have to mention Khalid, our friend," the 24-year-old said. "It is really happening. So please stay tuned to our Khalid collaboration."

BTS has collaborated with famous artists such as American producer Steve Aoki and American singer-songwriter Halsey to create global hit songs "MIC DROP" and "Boy With Luv".

Khalid debuted in 2016 and "American Teen", the singer's solo debut album released in 2017, received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album, and its title track "Location" received Grammy Awards nomination for Best R&B Song in 2018. He was also nominated for six Billboard awards in 2019.
