SEOUL -- SK Gas, a leading importer and distributor of liquid petroleum gas, forged a strategic partnership with Metron SAS of France to develop an artificial intelligence-based service platform that can reduce energy consumption by finding optimal solutions at workplaces in South Korea.
SK Gas, a unit of South Korea's SK Group, said on Tuesday that it would launch an AI-based energy efficiency service capable of analyzing the vast amount of data generated and accumulated at each workplace through cooperation with Metron, which develops an AI-driven platform for energy performance.
The existing energy management system only shows the current state of energy use at workplaces or analyzes usage patterns with pre-set analysis models. SK Gas would develop a solution that frequently proposes optimal control points and can be applied in a short period of time to save costs.
SK Gas said it would discover various energy solutions and develop a comprehensive energy service platform.
