- Kia reports 4.6% decrease in February sales SEOUL -- Kia announced that it sold a total of 242,656 units in February 2024, marking a 4.6 percent decline compared to the same month last year. Domestically, Kia sold 44,076 units, while overseas sales amounted to 198,580 units this February. This reflects a 12. percent decrease domestically and a 2.8 percent decrease overseas compared to February 2023, resulting in an overall sales decline of 4.6 percent. - Hyundai and Kia cars top maximum range test for EVs SEOUL -- Three electric vehicle models released by Hyundai auto group have dominated a range evaluation test conducted by an American online automotive information company. Data released by the automotive website Edmunds on February 12 showed that Hyundai's Ioniq 6 rear-wheel-drive (RWD) model topped the list for the test for maximum electric vehicle range. - Domestic sales of eco-friendly vehicles increase 24.3% on-year in 2023 SEOUL -- South Korea's domestic sales of eco-friendly vehicles including electric vehicles, hybrid vehicles, and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, stood at 558,112 units in 2023, up 24.3 percent year-on-year.
