North Korea has been told by Russia to stop its uranium enrichment program and to re-admit United Nations nuclear monitors to pave the way for international disarmament talks.

On Thursday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that the consistent implementation of the uranium program in North Korea causes serious worry. Moscow also wants the country to allow inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency to examine the program to verify that it is peaceful. Hillary Clinton, U.S. Secretory of State, called on North Korea to take steps to abandon its nuclear program.

She made her remarks during a visit to South Korean city Busan. A year ago, North Korea announced its uranium enrichment program and said it was used to produce electricity.
