Obama's national security adviser to attend Park's inauguration: official

U.S. President Barack Obama's national security adviser, Thomas Donilon, will attend the inauguration ceremony of President-elect Park Geun-hye scheduled for Feb. 25, a top ruling party official said on Feb. 12.

Donilon will visit Seoul in his capacity as a special envoy of President Obama, Lee Hahn-koo, floor leader of the Saenuri Party, told reporters in Seoul after a visit to Washington last week.

During his stay, Donilon will also discuss with South Korean officials an appropriate time for President-elect Park to visit the United States, he said.
