South Korea has signed a deal to export healthcare information systems to Saudi Arabia and offer training programs for doctors of the Middle East country, officials said.

The signing took place in Riyadh, the capital of the oil-rich country, Sunday afternoon (local time) between health ministers of the two countries, the officials said.

Under the deal, South Korea will set up medical systems, including those for hospital information exchange, blood bank and telemedicine.

The hospital information system will be established at hospitals and public health clinics across the Middle East nation.

Beginning in March next year, Saudi Arabian doctors will arrive in Seoul to undergo training programs at top-notch hospitals, such as Seoul National University Hospital, Yonsei University's Severance Hospital, Asan Medical Center, Catholic University's St. Mary Hospital and Samung Medical Center.
