South Korea’s industrial output expanded for the second consecutive month in November, but grew at a slower pace than the previous month, an indication that the recovery momentum still remains weak, the country's statistical office said on Tuesday.

Industrial output grew merely 0.1 percent on-year in November, compared with a 0.3 percent gain a month earlier, according to Statistics Korea.

The November figure represents a decrease of 0.5 percent from the same month of last year.

Production in the mining, manufacturing, gas and electricity sectors rose 1.3 percent in November from a year earlier, following minus 1.7 percent growth in October, the office said.

The November growth was led by automobiles, semiconductors and parts. Production of automobiles rose 9 percent on-year in November, while that of semiconductors and parts increased 2.9 percent, it said.
