Korean idol star Si-won has more than 5 million Twitter followers: agency

South Korean boy band Super Junior's Si-won, who is also an actor, has become the first South Korean to have more than 5 million followers on Twitter, his management agency in Seoul said Tuesday.

The number of his Twitter followers surpassed 5 million in five years and seven months since the 28-year-old opened his Twitter account (@siwon407) in March 2010, the agency, SM Entertainment, said.

His popularity at home and abroad has soared for his role in MBC's series "She Was Pretty." The Wednesday-Thursday drama has aired since Sept. 16.
