Craighead, Arkansas - Jessie Lorene Goline, a 25-year-old art teacher at Marked Tree High School, was arrested Wednesday on charges of first-degree sexual assault. She had sex with four students and had sex with two of them on the same day, according to the court documents.
Three of the students attended the same school she was teaching at and one other student attended a different school. One of the students was minor at the time of sexual relationship with Goline.
She brought students to her apartment to have sex and drove them back to school. Goline who is married admitted having sexual relationships with students on April 26 and was banned from the school property immediately. She was officially fired on June 19.
After her charges were filed, Goline was arrested and charged on Wednesday this week. This incident shocked the little community in Arkansas and parents who had their kids in the school.
Matt Wright, the superintendent of the District, said in a statement, "Throughout the process of dealing with Ms. Goline, the district has been focused first on the safety of our students. We did not and will not tolerate behavior such as this. We take the privilege of serving Marked Tree students seriously and are pleased that our procedures of immediate removal and reporting helped more this incident toward final resolution of justice."
