SEOUL -- At its trademark Starfield mega shopping malls, South Korea's retail conglomerate Shinsegae has opened special rest lounges for dogs that featured real grass patch toilets and equipment to keep dogs safe.
Shinsegae said in a statement Monday that the rest areas for dogs were set up in the Starfield complexes in Hanam, the southeast satellite city of Seoul, and Goyang northwest of Seoul. Shinsegae has allowed shoppers to bring dogs freely into shopping malls for the first time in South Korea.
