SEOUL --  Samsung SDS, an IT service wing of the Samsung group, has released an artificial intelligence-based online cloud security service that detects, analyzes and blocks cyber attacks.

"We will provide an 'End-to-End' security service that would encompass applications, infrastructures and data in cloud environments," Samsung SDS CEO Hong Won-pyo told reporters on Thursday, adding the company would help customers solve problems through a security service armed with new technologies.

The new security service utilizes AI technology and a vast database of threat intelligence (TI), a component of security intelligence. Samsung SDS said its service would render extracted information in case of hacking by encrypting information safely using self-developed algorithms. The system will also prevent information leakage and detect abnormal activities.
